Central Highlands Rural Health - Health Information Manager

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated Health Information Manager to join our Health Information Services team. 

The role will have a focus on the delivery of high quality Health Record Management systems across a diverse Health Service which includes Acute, Aged and Community Health services.  There will be a variety of tasks ensuring that all your skills as a Health Information Manager are utilized in a supportive environment.  This role will support the Manager – Health Information and Administration across all campuses of Central Highlands Rural Health.

You will have excellent organizational written and interpersonal skill and the ability to manage your time to meet deadlines.

Selection Criteria Essential: Degree in Health Information Management
Essential: Excellent knowledge of clinical coding standards and principles
Essential: Demonstrated knowledge of Australian and Victorian Coding standards and casemix
Essential: Ability to work in a busy environment and priorities effectively
Essential: Ability to work within a team and/or autonomously
Essential: Commitment to innovation and supportive of change
Essential: Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Essential: Highly developed computer literacy
Desirable: Experience within a Victorian public health service
Desirable: Experience with the iPM Patient Administration System and / or Bossnet
Desirable: Experience with 3M Encoder
Essential: Experience in leading multifaceted HIS teams.
